Quinceanera

Quinceanera session at the Los Angeles Arboretum, Arcadia.

You don't have to go very far when it comes to photographing a Quinceanera portrait session. When the mama of this lovely young lady called me to enquire about photographing her daughter's quinceanera event and take her pre quince portraits, I asked her what their vision was for the photos and if they had a location in mind. They thought they needed to drive hours away to take beautiful photos. I shared with them that they did not have to drive hours away to capture beautiful portraits. I asked them what the theme was for the celebration and how their daughter would feel in certain surroundings and locations.

I believe that the best place to take a portrait of a Quincenera is where she will feel peace and joy. I shared with them the beauty of our local parks, buildings and local arboretums. We decided on the Los Angeles Arboretum in Arcadia to be the location for her pre-quince photos. The session day arrived and the vibes and energy of the locations was amazing. You cannot go wrong photographing anyone at the LA Arboretum during the fall. The session was perfect. I let the colors of the trees, flowers and the light of the day guide me to the perfect locations around the arboretum and photograph the quinceanera in her beautiful dress. This location is definetely at the top of my list for Quinceanera portaits.
