"It's about making memories and sharing your stories" ~Julia

Hello again, i cant wait to meet you

This is my familia and my blessings. I thank God for the many gifts he has given me.

My story

I am a mama of three boys who I call my cuties. I know and understand how fast our children grow and how busy life can get as you raise them and go through life's challenges. Family story telling and children's documentation is very important to me. I am so thankful I was able to snap candid photos of my boys when they were very young.

My boys would be chasing each other around the house with unmatched colored socks or they would be quietly interacting with each other and there I would be snapping photo after photo of them. I could have merely been out running errands with them while they were decked out in Halloween costumes and again, there I would be taking photos of them. I snapped photos of my sons doing just about anything and everything. Having old photos to peruse whether displayed proudly on a wall or tucked neatly together in an album on a quiet evening at home brings my family together. I am sure every family has some pictures of their children growing up but, if you are like me, you probably stopped taking those frequent pictures of your kids because life simply got too busy. Whether, you want a session for your family, senior or maternity, my goal is to capture the essence of who you are and tell your story.

I was blessed to have a husband that worked hard as a teacher so I could be a stay-at-home mama for my boys. I began the love for photography after my first born. Like many mamas out there, I bought a kit camera and took pictures of my son as soon as he took his first breaths. As my family grew, so did my interest in picture-taking of my boys. I turned into a paparazzi (ha-ha) and took photos of them eating, playing, dancing, getting dirty, singing. I took photos of them just being them. As they got older and began playing sports on teams, I became the team mom. I continued taking behind the scenes photos of them during their games. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed taking a roll of film to get developed and looking at my babies' faces in print for hours on end. I would spend endless nights admiring the photos and putting them in not so fancy albums. As they got older, life became even busier. I took less and less photos of them. We had school activities to go to, not to mention the sports practices and their subsequent games. Our vacations consisted of driving our boys to their travel team tournament games on the weekends. Life became just too busy to take pictures of them at every moment. If you have children in sports or other form of activities, you know what I am talking about. We never took a professional family portrait. It never crossed my mind to do it. I continued to take pics here and there but not like I did in the beginning, when they were younger. Looking back now, I am so happy and grateful for all the snap shots I took of my boys. My oldest finished college and has moved away from home to pursue his career. My second is away from home, living near his college in northern California, and my youngest is in high school. How I miss their years as youngsters. Two years ago, we took our first family portrait. I was so happy! Those photos are in my living room. I look at them every single day with a sigh and a smile. I realize how special and important it is to have photos of our children, of our family. When my boys come to visit, they love and enjoy snuggling up on the couch and looking at the old, now falling apart albums. It brings them together and it makes my heart smile. My wish is for all families to have at least one portrait of the entire family. Once your kids grow up and move away it becomes a little difficult to get the family all together to plan a session. Nothing is impossible! It can be done!

Seven years ago, I decided make photography a career. It has been an exciting journey. I have learned so much and continue to learn so I can better serve my clients. I love what I do, and I love my clients. I realize and believe that photos are so much more than just pictures. Our children will grow up and have their own families. Having photos in your home to enjoy and share with your loved ones is a great feeling. The photos your kids did not want you to take once upon a time are the very ones that will always take you and your family back to that special point in time, that special moment. The truth is, we are not here forever but our photos will remain. Photos are a part of us. It is what we leave behind for our future generations. It's never too late to begin an heirloom legacy. I can't wait to help you make that happen.

"Old Photos are not just pictures, they are special moments we have lived and that will continue to live in our hearts when we look back at them." ~ Julia
